Ah, yes!
How sordid and sad.
Ties cut,
bonds broken.
Things of meaning
being diminished, degraded,
destroyed, discarded.
Things of real worth being reduced,
in part by ridicule,
especially by ideological fanatics
in government.
Things of value
wasted, vanishing.
Those who like
and frequently use
the idiotic phrase
"less is more,"
will simply get
more of less,
of whatever little
is left!
If this trend prevails,
we'll be left
with loads of nothing.
These fiends are
remorseless!
What they do is
senseless
pointless,
useless!
Alas, they have
a plan!
Ah, yes,
says the allegedly confirmed
conservative advocate of less
with a grin glee:
"Even less of less,
you will soon see…
will leave heaps of much more
for clever old me!
Less is for others!
I shall not do without.
Getting my goods
with a guarantee
is what this
is all about!"
Selfishness and greed
is his powerful addiction,
also the uttering of phrases
of callous convenience
rather than honest conviction!
In taking from others
he takes deliberate delight.
Silence is consent,
but I'm not the silent type.
I shall speak up
when- and wherever
there is a legitimate cause
and justifiable gripe.
My weapon is the word!
However,
complaining alone,
will not yield a solution.
It is time to stand up,
to be heard and seen,
to be counted upon
and to fight for justice
and the people's right!
