અત્યારે ચોતરફ છેતરપિંડી, લૂંટફાટ, અસત્યાચરણ, મારામારી, ખૂનામરકી, બોમ્બમારો, ગોળીબાર અરે, આ પાનું ભરાય તેવડી લાંબી યાદી થાય એટલા હિંસાત્મક બનાવો બને છે. મન ખૂબ વિક્ષુબ્ધ છે. ટાગોરની જેમ ‘માર્ગ સૂઝે નવ ઘોર રજનીમાં નિજ શિશુને સંભાળ, મારો જીવન પંથ ઉજાળ’ એવી અરજ મનમાં સતત ઘુંટાયા કરે છે. એવે ટાણે મારા બાળકો નાનાં હતાં ત્યારે કશેકથી ‘A mighty song of peace’ શીખી લાવેલાં. (CND અાંદોલનનું પ્રેરણાગીત. નીચે અાખો મૂળ પાઠ અાપ્યો છે.) અા એણે મારા મન પર કબજો જમાવ્યો છે, જેનો ભાવાનુવાદ સહુ વાચકો સમક્ષ મુકવાનું મન થાય છે. આશા છે, વાંચનારને આ ગીત સમયને અનુરૂપ અને થોડું આશાવાદી લાગશે.
