થઈને ઈશ્વરાભિમુખ

બધા કૃપાળુ મિત્રોની કૃપા જો એકઠી થઈને

આ હૃદયમાં પાંગરે, વધે અધિક એટલી કે

જિંદગી સ્વયં બને કરુણ ને દયાને પાત્ર ….

તો લાવ હું ધીમી પડું,

હું ધીરે ધીરે ઓસરું!

કિંતુ થઈ અધીર, નથી ઉચિત હૃદયને ખોલવું

એ મિત્રની કને કે જે તુરત થશે કબૂલ કરવા:

યોગક્ષેમનું વહન, સમસ્ત મૂલ્યનું જતન, સમગ્ર પ્રેમનું કથન!

પિછાણી લીધાં દીવાસ્વપ્નો ને આ ભયની ભ્રમણાઓને,

એટલે પ્રકંપું હું અશું કશું અકારણે;

લલાટે આવતી લટોથી થાઉં છું ચલિત હવે

ડરી ય જાઉં છું હું મારા ધ્રુજતા મુક્ત સાદથી!

ઓ દૈવીશક્તિ! ઊતરો પ્રપાતથી ને જોમથી

વહાવી જાવ આ શરીર પ્રચંડ તવ પ્રવાહમાં …

શું સાંભળો છો મુજને કે જે શાંતિથી સૂણ્યા કરે છે

એકધારું અનવરત થઈને ઈશ્વરાભિમુખ?
