વિપુલભાઈ, તમારો રતિલાલભાઈ પરનો શ્રદ્ધાંજલિલેખ ઉત્તમ લેખ બન્યો છે. મધુસૂદનભાઈનો લેખ પણ વાંચ્યો. ભરત ત્રિવેદીના અછાંદસ કાવ્યો પર અશોકભાઈનો લેખ પણ ગમ્યો. એકંદરે “ઓપિનિયન” અનેકની સરખામણીમાં વધુ સારું લાગે છે. વાંચી જવાનો મોહ જતો કરી ન શકાય અને પૂરું થયા પછી, બસ આટલુંજનો અધૂરો ઓડકાર આવે.

A very informative article on late Shri Ratilal Chandaria. I was reading a lot about his Bhasha-Prem and Sahityik activities through “e-mahefil” link of Uttambhai Gajjar, but you really open-up a full detailed activities of this Great (can I tell him) Linguistic (?) and his valuable contribution to Gujarati Bhasha …. very nice and thanks.

આજે જ તમારો આખો લેખ તો જોઈ શક્યો .. તમે મૌન હતા .. મને હતું જ કે તમે બહુ વિગતે ને સર્વગ્રાહી બનીને લખશો .. અને એમ જ બન્યું તેનો આનંદ છે. લખાણમાંથી રતિભાઈના વ્યક્તિત્વની સુવાસ સાથે એમની લેક્સિકોનયાત્રાનો ભલીભાંતી પરિચય મળે છે.
બહુ લાંબો પરિચય અને સહવાસ તમારો એમની જોડે .. આ આખા લેખ બદલ મારા તમને ખૂબ ખૂબ અભિનંદન.
‘કાકા’ જતાં જાણે હૃદયનો એક ખૂણો જ ખાલી થઈ ગયો ! ત્યારે તમે ટાંકેલી પંક્તિ સાંત્વના બક્ષે છે :
‘કોઈ મહેફિલથી ઊઠી જાય તો મૃત્યુ ન કહો’
અને આપણે ય હવે કંઈ બહુ વાર થોડી જ લગાડવાના છીએ, એમને કાયમી સોબત આપવા માટે ત્યાં જવામાં !

Your superb and succinct summary of Kaka’s life, his aims and objectives, his single minded pursuit thereof until his last breath, brings to the fore his character unparalleled in modern times. His efforts to revive, reinvigorate our mother tongue in the context of modern technology is unparalleled in the annals of Gujarat and its citizens since the time of Shrimad Hemchandracharya. He pursued his objective assiduously unperturbed by those who pooh-poohed his vision till the end. None of the universities of Gujarat nor the Government of Gujarat believed in his vision and did not extend any help to Kaka’s project. As always we, as Indians, recognise our stalwarts only after the event and not in time. “Gharki murghi daal baraber.” Today millions of Gujaratis both at home and overseas have been encouraged by Kaka’s visionary zeal to communicate in their mother tongue with the aid of computer, I-Pad and such other mod-cons.
Gujarati Diaspora all over the Globe will remain eternally grateful to late Ratilal Chandaria for the priceless and timeless bequest he has bestowed upon us.
